Kaal Sarp Dosh

It is believed that Kala-Sarpa Dosha arises from Kala-Sarpa Yoga, which is formed in turn from the fact that all Grahas are located between Rahu and Ketu in the birth chart. This is the most talked-about Yoga on the net and the most difficult to understand for many. As understand it, this Yoga is not described in classical works, but someone just started talking about it (that’s why there is a lot of discussion about this Yoga).

When all Grahas settled (rallied) between Rahu and Ketu, half of the map is blank (black sky), which is very bad, as the most successful arrangement of Grah in the map is when they are distributed all over the map when approximately every Graha occupies every house and they do not interfere with each other, such a Graha placement will fully reveal its potential. When the Grahas are between the nodes of Rahu and Ketu, this means that the Serpent has swallowed all the Grahas. In general, Kaal (Kala) is a time in Sanskrit, Sarpa is a snake, Dosham is a vice, a defect .. (“Desha, kala, patra” means “place, time, circumstances”).

One of the few rituals with this Dosha: When a coconut is taken (symbolizing Graha – the planet), special Mantras are pronounced over it (unfortunately I do not know which ones), this coconut is wrapped with a red thread several times (possibly in the process repetitions of Mantras) and then the Nativ (not necessarily a person with this Dosha – may be one of his relatives) should take this coconut and throw it into the river, preferably with a fast flow (thinking about Nativ with this Dosha). And so this ritual is performed several times (apparently all 9 grah – one coconut per week). Following this ritual – in the next life, the Native with such a Dosha should, as it were, be born with a map in which all the Grahas will already be distributed throughout the entire map. We kind of release all these Grahas from the Serpent, or of course we ask (pray) that He would release them.

There is also the concept of “Kala Sarpa Yoga”, “Kala Amrita Yoga”.

According to Vedic astrology, Kala Sarpa Yoga is an unfavorable Yoga in the horoscope of a person’s birth. Hence it is also known as Kala Sarpa Dosha. Kala Sarpa Yoga is formed when all the planets are located between Rahu and Ketu in Janma Kundali. In such kundalis, any five consecutive houses are always empty.

All Kala Sarpa Doshas have been divided into twelve categories:

Anant (अनन्त)

Kulik (कुलिक)

Vasuki (वासुकि)

Shanghai (शङ्खपाल)

Padma (पद्म)

Maha Padma (महापद्म)

Takshak (तक्षक)

Karkotak (कर्कोटक)

Shankhachoodh (शङ्खचूड़)

Gatak (घातक)

Vishakt (विषाक्त)

Sheshnag (शेषनाग)

Some astrologers also consider the partial kala sarpa dosha. In Partial Kala Sarpa Dosha, all but one of the planets are located between Rahu and Ketu. Since the partial Kaal Sarpa Dosha was not widely adopted.

What is Kaal Sarpa Dosha and the Effects of Kaal Sarpa Dosha?

There are many yogas and doshas in the horoscope, which our saints have pointed to for a long time. Vedic astrology is more than 5000 years old, and since time immemorial it has been perfected and improved. But over the past few years, the name was coined by an astrologer, who said that if all the planets are sandwiched between Rahu and Ketu, then it is called “Kaal Sarp Dosha”, and in most cases, it is a very harmful Dosha. In some cases, she has the right to give a lot of goodies to the Nativ. Then this astrologer once again classified this dosha into many types and provided medicines for it.
